The Ohio Ophthalmological Society’s 2019 Legislative Day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 at 9 a.m. at the Ohio Statehouse. This is your chance to ensure that state elected leaders and state agency officials hear directly from you on pending legislation and policy matters that directly impact ophthalmology and the practice of medicine.
In January, Gov. Mike DeWine took office as did scores of newly elected Ohio state representatives and senators as the 133rd General Assembly began. Within the coming months, the OOS expects a new state budget proposal and the introduction of various pieces of legislation that may warrant the attention of physicians.
A schedule of events for the OOS Legislative Day will be forthcoming but is likely to include a visit to either the Ohio House or Senate during an open session and one-on-one meetings with elected and appointed officials.
If you wish to attend the OOS Legislative Day at the Statehouse please contact OOS Director Reggie Fields today at RFields@ohioeye.org for more information and schedule of events.
